The clear, emerald green Gulf Waters off Pensacola Beach, Florida provide anglers with some of the finest world class, deep sea fishing charters found anywhere. Chuck's offshore charters are excellent year round. Captain Chuck has over 1200 deep sea reefs and artificial wrecks in the Gulf of Mexico off Pensacola and Orange Beach, Alabama that he can visit. Quality, high speed Penn fishing reels are used on Chuck's Charters. Spinning reels are used jigging for amberjacks and flat line fishing on top for king mackerel, red snapper, and other fish like mahi mahi and bonito. 4/0 reels are used fishing with 3 hook cut bait rigs on the bottom but mostly with live baits on long carolina rigs fishing just off the bottom. 6/0 reels with 100lb test line are used fishing with large cut baits or big live baits on the bottom for monster grouper and snapper.

Red snapper are so plentiful that Chuck's Charters guarantees snapper or you don't pay! Red snapper can be caught all year, but as of 2009, red snapper may be kept only during the season which falls between June 1st and August 15th. None of the other federally permitted charter boats in the Pensacola area offer four hour deep sea bottom fishing charters except Chuck's Charters. The federal charter permit allows charters to fish legally outside of 9 miles from the coastline, and federal waters are routinely fished on 4 hour trips. The only way to get a federal charter boat permit is to buy an existing one: no new permits issued. With Chuck's Charters, minimum trips of 4 hours will produce Snapper, Trigger fish, Amberjack, and Grouper year round, but longer trips ensure the best catches allowing for more fishing time and more spots to be fished. King mackerel are caught from April through October. Some of Chuck's charters end with more than 20 different species of fish being caught. |

Upon arrival at each destination on all of Chuck's charters, the boat is anchored and and the engine is shut off. A much more pleasant fishing experience is had without a smelly, noisy diesel engine running during your entire fishing trip as with other charter boats. Captain Chuck assists with the operation of equipment as well as baiting and taking fish off hooks. Ample amounts of cigar minnows, squid and live bait are provided on all of Chuck's deep sea fishing charters as well as ice, bait, tackle, rods & reels, and fishing licenses. |
